Heart of Wales Line Trail Accommodation The Heart of Wales Line Trail is a new long distance walk that weaves its way along the beautiful Heart of Wales railway Line. This year old rural railway, mostly single track, starts in the the Shropshire Hills. Heart of Wales Line The Heart of Wales line is a mile scenic route from Craven Arms, Shropshire to Llanelli in south Wales. Apart from a small portion near Swansea, the rural branch line is predominantly single track with five passing loops at Llandeilo, Llandovery, Llanwrtyd, Llandrindod and Knighton. Heart of Wales Line. K likes. The Heart of Wales Line is a spectacular rural railway between Swansea and Shrewsbury. The seven days/week train service is operated by Transport for Wales5/5. The line is part of the UK rail network. The community rail partnership is aimed at promoting and developing the use of the line. The infrastructure of the line is owned by Network Rail. We supply management support activities to support the line in this area. We have just begun to offer holidays and short stays which we hope will create revenue.
The Heart of Wales line (Welsh: Rheilffordd Canol Cymru) is a railway line running from Craven Arms in Shropshire to Llanelli in southwest Wales. It runs, as the name suggests, through some of the heartlands of Wales. It serves a number of rural centres en route, including several once-fashionable spa towns, including Llandrindod : South West Wales, Mid Wales, Shropshire. The Heart of Wales Line walking trail comprises 16 different routes between stations which are viable in terms of meeting connecting trains. It was developed and is now managed by a dedicated Heart of Wales Line Trail Steering Group, who worked tirelessly for two years with local authorities and agencies to open up the route for long distance.
